  Frexy turns 5 years old today

  Wow, what should we say now? It’s been 5 years now. That’s right. Frexy turns 5 years. We can’t believe it!

  It’s been amazing and fantastic 5 years of our coming into the world of cyberspace – the world of web designers, the world of web branding and publication, the world of web developers, and the world of icon design.

  As Frexy reaches its fifth birthday, let’s take a glance at how Frexy has turned so far. Back in the day when there were these two Vietnamese brothers, who were very young hearts, indulging in arts, design and the interweb. Once these two fields met each other in terms of coding and pixel-pushing, plus several previous years of experience in messing with web design and related stuffs, the birth of Frexy was a sure thing. And that’s August 25, 2005. That’s the day when Frexy was born. But their passion for crafting beautiful websites and things kept growing stronger. Each and every of the stuffs they designed was a piece of success, freshness and happiness. And with that, the business was also going along well, more new services started to come out years after years. Then one day, they decided, “Alright, we need more manpower and we need it now!”, and three people were invited to join Frexy.

  Spot the differences? Yes, we realigned!

  How fast time flies! Our Frexy’s last redesign has been going up for 3 years now and with time, it kinda got going “down” in terms of both design and content. Client works ate most of our time, we have been busy with IconEden’s business and various internal projects. No more excuses, we loved working for ourselves and it’s time to to make a face lifting and make the site catch up with the present day and truly express the pleasant circumstance we are in now.

  And we're back! This time with more shiny icons, better design, and more!

  Sorry for being quiet for a long time. During the last few months, we've worked hard on the redesign of IconEden. Why redesign? You might ask. Frexy, the premier design studio behind IconEden, is really serious about design. In our dictionary, redesign means solving existing problems. We always bend over backwards to give our visitors a better online experience. Our goal is to wrap the site with a beautiful look, making IconEden.com more product-centric and improving its usability. In a nutshell, our design should essentially reflect our fast growth!

  Happy birthday to Frexy - we're four years old!

  This morning I looked at the calendar and was surprisingly excited to see that Frexy already turned four. On August 25, 2005, I registered the domain and started a wild journey: starting my own design business. The idea was simple at that time: I wanted to devote my time to doing what I love: creating beautiful websites. Now Frexy has transformed from a soloist into a design studio with five people.

  The Milky set is now complete!

  Yes, it’s Milky, our simple, clean and lovely vector icon set. It is sadly announced that now Milky has come to an end, completing virtually 4 months of its up and running for free, with 9 separate parts and receiving around more than 200 comments, feedback and appreciations.

  All feedbacks and requests from our users and readers have had a weighty effect on the development of the Milky set. Thank you all for your time and care!

  Description

  This icon set of Milky is designed in EPS 8 vector format, including 48x48 and 64x64 PNG image and SVG files. Milky will be released on a weekly basic. Every week I will add more 15 icons into the set. So how many icons does Milky have in total? Well, I’m not sure, maybe the set of Milky will have up to dozens or few hundreds or few thousands (hopefully) of icons. Grab the RSS to stay updated with the latest ones.

  CSS swap hover effect

  Few months ago, I worked on an e-commerce project whose owner (the client) required each and every of the product photos with information to be displayed in a fancy way. It was requested that the product photo be swapped by its product description when the mouse hovers over it. This kind of effect is very interesting and easy to achieve, so I would like to share it with you.
